PFT Certification Course, Los Angeles, California, December, 2015
There are many exercises that exercise professionals can use to help their clients achieve any desired training objective. Exercises are simply tools. It is for this reason that there is no specific exercise should be included in every training program. Every client will have a unique capacity to perform (or interests), and thus may respond more favorably to certain exercise variations. Further, subtle differences in a client`s posture, movement speed or the placement of a load can dramatically change the demands of the activity. This module will use the notions of “strength is needed to move quickly” and “working smarter, not harder” to highlight why an appreciation for biomechanics is needed when choosing exercises for any client.
